We prefer to see the document you want editing before agreeing upon a fee with you, as, due to the level of editing the document requires, we will offer you various options. The exact turnaround time, and fee level, will therefore be agreed with you upon viewing the document, and discussing your needs with you.

Having said this, we do have a usual turnaround time of seven days for a 2000 word document, with book length manuscripts usually requiring one month for the editing process to be finalised. We do, however, offer a rush service, under which short (<5000 word) documents can be returned to you within 48 hours of submission.

Our fees are all in line with fee recommendations put forward by the Society of Proofreaders and Copy Editors, the professional body for editors based in the UK, and are extremely competitive, in view of the professional nature of the service offered.

Please note that there is a £50 minimum fee for any work that is undertaken by Oxford Editorial Consulting and that we require a 20% non-refundable deposit before beginning work on your document.
